Note for 2020: This post was written in 2016 when S-energy Consultants focused on the energy industry only. We provided workforce services in addition to HSE and security.
It was written just after a historic industry crash. Now, the company is available for contracts in multiple industries across the ASIA PAC region, but our industry-specific blog posts that are left published as long as we see present value in them.
Why are we positioning ourselves as strategic recruiters?
We have seen a trend in the oil and gas workforce market towards a high level of strategic recruitment due to the downturn. We all know that all companies are under pressure to keep costs to a minimum, in some cases, to stay in business.
The question that we anticipate from skeptics is something along the lines of:
Isn’t all recruiting strategic? I mean, you have a strategy and a necessary team combination to achieve it. Every team member gets hired according to plan.
A corollary to this would be:
Our company always watches our costs and ALWAYS does its work as efficiently as possible.
Valid questions, worthy of us preempting our responses in advance. Within every business model, there is a long list of job roles, services, expenses, income sources, procedures, rules, regulations, accounting, marketing, sales, and so on.
Every business has these core aspects, in every industry, that’s a given.
If you asked every CEO in the world, do you have a strategy? Or do you keep your expenses as low as possible, cutting waste?
What will they say?
Every single one will say yes, we care about doing things strategically. What else would they say?
Our advantage comes down to an intense focus
At the same time, every company is wasteful during good times. With expense accounts, bad investments, and everything else. We all know this and have seen it across different companies.
We can always do better.
But that isn’t even the reason why we are positioning ourselves as strategic recruiters.
The reason why we are going to be the leading strategic human resources company in the energy industry is that we are focusing on it. It is at the very core of our business. It is the way that we will approach every client, every job, every solution provided.
Apple computers decided to make the user experience the core of their business. Every design and feature development was held up to a specific standard: Whether it offered the very best in user experience. Did every other company in the technology industry care about the end-user? Of course they did. But did any competitor nail it like Apple did? Not by a mile.
That is why we offer the very best in strategic recruiting services; it is front, center and core of our business.
